Chapter #10 meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm, 16 November 2011 by
Lin ONOFRIO Brinkman (#1388) in the home of Bill and Lin, with eight
present.
Lin showed an AARP Magazine article on "Tasty Trips" which highlighted
FRANK PEPE PIZZARIA NAPOLETANA in New Haven, CT. This is where Lin's
parents, Dorothy Mango and Jack Onofrio enjoyed pizza in the 1940's.
Lin brought her Mother back a few years ago, and her Mother and her
brother, Peter Mango, said there were few changes in the last seventy
years.
Jeanie Marsalia has a postcard she received from her son, Shane Mahon and wife Catherine, when they were in Reykjavic, Iceland.
Scott Patrick (#4819) is going through the 1809-1814 film for his ancestral town of Laurenzana (PZ BA). It appears to have what can be described as a census taken around 1820, but for the year 1809. Scott is finding the names of several relatives, and the records contain their birth dates, many from the 1770s.
Next meeting : 11 December Christmas party at the Brinkman's, with everyone bringing an Italian dish.
