Lin ONOFRIO Brinkman (#1388) opened the monthly meeting on October 22nd with 14 people in attendance including two visitors.
Don VILLONI and his wife, Shirley, recently returned from another wonderful trip to Italy. They attended the wedding of one of his cousins. He brought an album full of lovely pictures of the wedding and the sites they enjoyed.
Jeanie MARSALIA (#4251) attended the MARSALIA family reunion on September 27th in Mentz, Texas.
Jeanie's son, Shane Mahon, who now lives and works in Brussels, Belgium has two coworkers from Italy. One is from Rome and the other is from Lanzo near
Monastero where her grandparents were born. Shane showed the one from LANZO a picture he had taken there and the coworker recognized one of the buildings as
being his cousin's house.
Jeanie ordered another film from the Family History Center.
New members, Rick and Pat COPPOLA are researching the names COPPOLA and di FILIPPO from S. SALVATORE TELESINO, BENEVENTO, CAMPANIA. Rick brought pictures of the town that were made several years ago when he and Pat visited there. Sherry PACELLI Haddox (#4883) was really thrilled to see those photos because her grandfather was from the same town!
