The Big Rock/Robotic Tower

The lower section, already in place, is a 15 feet tall x 5 feet wide, 20 ton block of local limestone on a concrete base.

This piece is located at Twelfth and Red River at the south entrance to Waterloo Park adjoining the Texas State Capitol.

The image below shows the pending upper section of the Big Rock/Robotic Tower. A multi sensing multi media computer system is to be housed in a miniature stone Alamo shown at left. Rising from its heavy copper roof is a steel tower carrying a wind and solar power panel. The original light and sound hardware is shown on the tower at the right side of the image.

Designed and built by David Santos with vital work done by Joe, James, and David Perez, Alex Iles, Ray Navarro, Joe Sanchez, Tecolote, Toby Bernal, and Daniel Corral.
