Mid Level Actuation encompasses the basic kinematic, graphical, and audio performance of the ProtoAndroid. Low Level Actuation ensures basic requirements for the mid level such as fault detection, power management, and position encoding. High Level Task Management rides herd on the midlevel pushing high level goals made up of locomotion, manipulation, and gesture task primitives.
The ProtoAndroid Carcass is the great organ of Mid Level Actuation. FaceSpace is a graphical facial "robot" which displays on the notebook computer onboard the ProtoAndroid.
Mid Level Actuation is partitioned between the Base Station LAN and the onboard top level processor.
