trusty nature guides; biding time while
conditions align- Set not
day nor hour to fly, rather prepare:
Await the perfect moment, it comes.
Feast on invasive herbs, promote
abundant natives; enjoy them.
Enlighten toward flight; become ultra-Light.
Practice nonviolent creation, intensely,
unlittering, gourmet veganism.
Cast pirate charts in hypermedia,
Annotated satellite based GIS;
super-natural treasure maps.
Invent wondrous Mutant Bikes
on the fly, from salvage, tricked
with aerofairings & other niceties.
Scout nomad bike routes for
low traffic, shoulder,
and good surface;
Routes for touring hybrids,
others for mountain bikes,
To see anything for the first time,
traveling in glory in Xtreme heat, cold,
wet, and dry, yet camp life
is mostly balmy, picking fruits
and vegetables in endless spring
without utility bill or pollution.
Sanctuary, refuge, nesting on
fragrant straw with herbal pillows.
Small solar panels grace bike trailers
charging micropower mini systems;
from wireless nets to music and lights.
but mostly unplugged and quiet,
at ease in beauty everywhere along
a communal network of Biosquats; of
gardens, huts, and bioregional wardrobes,
cached cookware, tools, and bike-caches.
This mobile synthesis of goodness,
is beyond smaoky theory,
its working, outside, in the universe
& makes us newly brave.

Oasis, and Camp Bike-Ray,
then Garden of the Ancients, &
finally, four days out, gardening the
Crawford Peace House itself.
Drifting
toward the border
on a bike, reach out & harvest
the grass grain
fringing the road.
At day's end find a flat rock
& another that fits your hand.
Grind this soft living grain with herbs
& mix in a little water, bake in ashes.
this green manna immortal flavored,

Gypsy gardening & bike migration
in nature is subtle. Mistakes abound,
grace & grit overcoming counts.
Run bikes over borders,
sail bikes, even soar bikes
where the trade winds hit

With telescopic mind frame
relearn the old sky, there's

Perverse Migration- travel into extreme conditions, against season, into heat, cold, storm, headwinds or any avoidable adversity. The term, Extreme Picnicing, wryly sums up the Mutant Nomadic ideal, whereby we express accumulated capability in ever wilder adventure.
Gatorade Wells- Saline Groundwater as natural "Sport Drink". Sweat Migration along isosaline contour.
Bike riding wants different weather that sitting around. Perfect weather is cool, a 30 knot tailwind, partly sunny, rainbows everywhere, with an occasional rain spritz for dust control and variety, no more than a trace of sweat. Riding at night or in the rain can be better than riding blazing heat. The body is less efficient in heat and typically needs a gallon or two more water consumption per day, more bike weight. Hot air drag is less at least.
Utopia works at small scale and/or short time frame (hippy scale). Victory is wrested moments of freedom and perfection. We will learn how to extend these moments and scale up.
