| Cecilia Bustamante is
considered a cultural treasure in her adoptive home of Austin, Texas, as
well as her native Peru. She came to Austin an exile and returned to Peru
as an ambassador for the Sister Cities Program (Lima-Austin)
Cecilia is founder and editor of Extramares, a renowned international literary journal. In various leadership roles, Cecilia has become known as the conscience of the local cultural scene. She is also a prominent journalist in the Spanish language, with regular columns and editorials for periodicals across Latin America and the net. Cecilia donates time to Austin area schools to share her vocation in Poetry, presenting language as a key to scholastic excellence. She is currently organizing a Peruvian computer resource program for education and culture. Cecilia is one of the world's great Poets, a gift for all. |
