Summary: Requires state campaigns and political committees with over $5,000 in contributions or expenditures to file electronically- by diskette or modem- unless they do not use a computer to solicit or record contributions.

Summary: Requires state campaigns and political committees to file electronically if they exceed $50,000 in contributions or expenditures, unless they do not use a computer to solicit or record contributions.

H.B. 10, PUBLIC FINANCING OF STATEWIDE JUDICIAL RACES, Sponsor: Rep. Pete Gallegos (Alpine). 

Summary: This bill provides public financing for non-partisan, statewide judicial elections. Candidates would qualify for public financing by collecting 1,000 signatures (500 from lawyers) with contributions totaling $30,000 (limited to $100 per person.)
