Welcome to Reflections of Walnut Creek II Highlights and News 6 June 2011 - Beck and
Company is fully operational and able to handle your service requests. See the Association Meeting Minutes page for a link to the 16 May 2011 Annual Homeowners Meeting minutes. Homeowners insurance planning guide Follow the link above to see what's covered by the HOA Master Property Policy and what you need to cover in your personal homeowner's insurance policy. Present this to your insurance agent to determine if you carry enough personal insurance for your unit. Important Notice about Inspection and Installation of Smoke Detectors It is time to inspect your smoke detectors. If you do not have smoke detectors, it is important that you install one in each sleeping area and each living area in your unit. This is for your safety and the safety of your neighbors. You should change the batteries twice a year to ensure that the detector is operational in a case of a fire. The Fire Department recommends changing the batteries when you re-set your clocks for changes in Daylight Savings Time in the fall and the spring. If you have a ‘hard-wired’ detector (one without batteries that is wired to your electrical service) and it is not working, contact an electrician immediately. For more information about smoke detectors, visit this City of Austin website www.ci.austin.tx.us/fire/prevmonth.htm or download this brochure smoke_detector_info.pdf For more fire safety information, visit the City of Austin Fire Department website at: www.ci.austin.tx.us/fire Also read this one page Austin City code information about barbecue grills on patios. charcoal_grills.pdf The Gracywoods Neighborhood Association has set up a Web site to keep area residents informed about ongoing activities, including Neighborhood Watch, greenbelt clean-up days, and other planned events. For more information please visit www.gracywoods.org. Helpful tips: Note that if the HOA needs to enter your unit and a key is not available, you may be liable for the locksmith charge. Leaving a key with a trusted neighbor for emergencies can help. Late charges on HOA dues have increased to $25. Please be sure to obtain approval from the board of directors before making changes to the exterior of your condo. Unapproved exterior modifications (doors, patio covers, etc.) may require removal at the owner's expense. Initiate the approval process by contacting management (click contacts on the navigation bar). If you have a pest control issue involving termites or carpenter ants, call Beck and Company (see contacts). Do not call a pest control company yourself or you will be charged for the services. Please be sure to put your trash IN the dumpster. If the dumpster is full, please take your trash to another dumpster on the property.
