Minutes from August 15 Meeting
Marcus moved to approve the minutes as presented. Ed seconded. Minutes were adopted by unanimous vote.
Financial Report
Stan Scheiber presented the financial report. There were four delinquencies and the owners have been notified.
We are slightly over budget on utilities for the year to date. This will hopefully correct itself once the sprinklers are turned off for the fall.
Progress Report on Painting/Repairs
John Yount stated that his crew is working their way around the project. They are up to unit #60 on repairs and have painted the siding on units 1-30. He needs a decision from the board on the trim color so he can proceed on schedule.
Paint Committee Report
Rita provided an update on the paint committee’s work. The colors for the siding and the shakes (shingles) based on the samples on unit #35 were selected based on feedback from residents. The shingle color was green (#6187) and the body was a yellow (#2199). 48 units voted and 31 votes were for these color.
The objective for this evening’s meeting is to select the trim.
The sample colors of trim on units 7 and 8 were reviewed during the meeting. It was the consensus of those in attendance that the green trim be used on the buildings with no shakes, and that, if possible, a mustard trim be used along the roofline of the buildings with shakes to provide more contrast.
(Note: This decision was later modified at a paint committee meeting on Saturday, Oct.1. It was determined that different color rooflines could not be used on different buildings without incurring significant additional costs, and the mustard trim did not provide enough contrast to the siding on the buildings without shingles. Therefore the green trim was selected for all rooflines. The soffit on the buildings with shingles would still be painted yellow to provide contrast, however the rooflines will be green.)
The door color will be selected at the next board meeting.
Other Items
The annual yard sale will be held Oct. 15.
One resident was not satisfied with the repairs on the gutters on her unit. Stan stated that he would look into the issue further.
A question arose about owners who are not residents but are still using the pool. The policy is that an owner who is not a resident may use the pool, but they are subject to the “four guests per unit” rule, and this does not allow a non-resident owner and the resident (tenant) to use the pool at the same time, and have eight guests. The rule allowing four guests per unit limits the total number people at the pool at any one time associated with a particular unit to four.
Next Board Meeting
The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 17, 2005 at 6:45pm in the gazebo.
Ed motioned to adjourn the meeting and Marcus seconded. The meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
