Boggy Creek Drainage Project Update-ACWP ---------------------------------------------------------------------- EPA mandate in 2000 to upgrade wastewater lines (identify and fix failing lines). The original deadline to complete the work was 2007, but it has been extended to 2009 (over 120 projects). ACWP offices at 2600 Webberville Road. Wastewater pipelines run through the creek. ACWP is currently lining pipelines to contain leaks. The Govalle treatment plan is the oldest in the state and will be decommissioned at the end of the month. WPDR and ACWP are working in conjunction to upgrade lines. This neighborhood is project #6 of 21. The 200 bond paid for decommissioning the plant and running new wastewater lines to replace failing ones. The project was one large project but it was broken up in to smaller projects in order to get more competitive bids. 45% of the program (over 50 projects) is complete (between $105-$120,000,000 spent). 12th Street Church of God in Christ Development-Richard ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The church on the corner of 12th and Harvey has begun construction, however there is some question concerning ownership of the lot--the church doing the work may not own the property. The owners of the property are interested in knowing what the neighborhood would like to see happen with the property. New Business ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Austin Revitalization Authority meetings about 12th Street rezoning need more attendees from the neighborhood.
