Rosewood Neighborhood Contact Team Monthly Meeting Minutes

Chair's Report

After introductions, there was no quorum present to conduct record
business or annual officer elections. RNCT will continue with current
officers--principally, Jane Rivera (Chair), Dusty McCormick
(Vice-chair), Linda Hutchins (Secretary)--until the next meeting.

A new position will appear on the ballet for Treasurer, in order to
handle expected increasing RNCT revenues from the new neighborhood
newsletter et cetera. There is currently about $1200 in the RNCT account.

The Chair asked for volunteers to sit with the Austin Neighborhood
Council East Sector meetings. Jim Eastburn and Gilbert Rivera
consented to attend and represent the RNCT.

Discussion

Trinity White, from the US Census team, spoke about this year's survey
effort. In addition to determining government apportionment across the
land, the results of the 2010 Census will direct the investment of
some $300B in federal infrastructure spending. Ms. White also called
for citizens to apply for census worker positions, which will span
from April through June and pay $12-20/hour and $0.50/mile.

Ethan Horne spoke on his group's efforts to redevelop two adjacent
lots at E. 22nd Street and Curtis, specifically addressed at 280 East
22nd. In order to place four residential units (which includes one
duplex) Horue would like the neighborhood to consent to modifying the
FAR to increase interior space from 8000sf to 10,000sf. Austin
Heights meets on this item on March 9th; follow-up will appear before
the RNCT at the next meeting opportunity.
