What We Do

Each year the club undertakes a number of local and international projects. A few of the local projects include:

Role Model Days: Participate with the Blackshear Elementary School & Overton Elementary School to share each of our vocations with young children to they can see beyond their current vision of what is possible. See: Role Model Day at Blackshear Elementary

Books for Children: Provided English/Spanish Dictionaries for Oak Springs Elementary and Books for the school library.

Holiday Gift Shop: Donate items to the Oak Spring Elementary School's holiday gift shop. Students can then "buy" the items with points earned for good behavior, grades, study habits, etc.

Scholarships: Provide scholarships to graduating East Side Memorial High Student seniors to help with college tuition and fees.

Beautify Austin: Work with Keep Austin Beautiful to clean-up and beautify East Austin. See: Keep Austin Beautiful

Meals on Wheels: Participate in the East Austin Meals on Wheels - delivering meals to "shut-ins". See: Meals on Wheels and More

Adopt a Family: The club adopts a family for the holidays providing them a holiday meal and holiday gifts for the children.

Blood Drive: The 2012 club coordinated blood drive with over 34 pints of blood donated. See: The Blood Center of Central Texas

Fund Raising: The club took orders for Oranges and Grapefruit for the holidays as a fund rasing project.
