Here are numerous links to places of interest and some associated phone numbers.

Neighborhood

• Until we are assigned a new DR, if you have any concerns that you would like to discuss with a police officer, contact the APD District Representative office at 974-8239. An officer will be assigned to assist you.

• Neighborhood Resource Guide – Contains the answers to many frequently asked questions and phone numbers to call for help.
• Neighborhood Crime Statistics. Click on "Crimes listed by neighborhood association," and a page of disclaimers appears. Click on "Acknowledge" and a page appears where you can select your neighborhood association. In the Neighborhood Association selection box, click the down-arrow, scroll down, and select "Texas Oaks," and then click "Search." You will see a list of offenses. The addresses just indicate in what block the offense happened, not the exact house number.

  ONE CALL marks your property for underground utility lines you might damage by digging.

• Town Lake Animal Shelter: 708-6000
  Animal Control for loose or dangerous animals: 708-6000 or call 911
  Dead Animal Pickup: 494-9400 Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. For Saturday pickup, call 848-8838 between 8 a.m. and noon.
  (Solid Waste Services will remove dead animals if they are on public streets or placed on the curbside.)

• Austin GIS Land Use Map – Austin GIS presents information that can be helpful for people interested in Austin's development. You can see streets, subdivisions, zoning maps, jurisdictional boundaries, floodplain locations, watershed boundaries and their classifications.
