What we did or didn't do is history. Let's start the new month with an attitude of making a difference - even if it's a small difference. We have to start somewhere, right!
February brings a new study theme, "Serving on Purpose". Did you know that 10-20% of the church members do 80-90% of the church work. With those types of statistics, no wonder there isn't enough people to help with new or very large projects. My prayer is that the English Adult II class members adds to the percentage of those that want to serve.
The lesson for Sunday is the first within this study theme entitled, "When Will I Serve?" When will you serve? Well the time is now! Our class project "Labor of Love" will take us into two homes this coming Sunday afternoon, Feb. 5th. We will eat together after morning service. I'm making baked spaghetti with french bread. There will be plenty for all of the class member's kids. We need to teach our children to serve. Bring a change of clothes and maybe some work gloves. There will be an Architectual Committie meeting on this day.LVAL Lyda Guz has copies of the deed restrictions for all sections of our neighborhood.
