What on Earth Am I Here For?

Praise God from whom all blessings flow! I am excited about what God is about to do.  Beginning April 3, 2005 and ending May 15, 2005, we are launching a spiritual growth Campaign, based on the best-selling book, The Purpose-Driven Life, by Rick Warren.  It is designed to answer life's most important question:  "What on Earth Am I Here For?"  The events of the Campaign will give us opportunities to commit to habits of spiritual growth, memorize scripture, participate in a small group and Sunday School fellowship, serve in a ministry in our church, share our faith and learn to live a lifestyle of worship to the glory of God.  We are excited as we envision our entire congregation living in alignment with God's purposes for their lives, and the impact this could have on our church and our community!

  Ephesians 2:10 says "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."  We are God's masterpiece (work of art, workmanship).  Our salvation is something only God can do.  It is His powerful, creative work in us.  If God considers us His masterpieces, we dare not treat ourselves or others with disrespect or as inferior work.

We encourage you to join with us now and pray with us for the Lord to have his purpose, His ways and His work carried out in our lives.  The potential impact this could have on our lives will be increased if the soil of our hearts is prepared through prayer.  As you make the commitment to attend a small group, remember to invite your friends and neighbors.  We believe that God is going to reveal Himself through His word in a mighty way over the next 40 days and we will never be the same again!
