Andrew Lambdin-Abraham
 Andrew
attended Trinity Child Development Center (also known as TCDC) from 1985 to 1987. He had a wonderful time in Miss Eva Siegenthaler's
class. Each morning, she would have some special set of toys out to greet the children. Often, it was a farm set or a train track.
Seeing the exciting setup made him forget his separation anxiety and cheerfully get right into playing (which helped my separation
anxiety). At the TCDC, Andrew began his lifelong love of books and upon reaching elementary school soon became a voracious reader.
Andrew attended Blanton Elementary, Pearce Middle School, Kealing Junior High and LBJ High Science Academy in Austin. The TCDC gave
him a great start on his schooling. He received a Presidential Citation when he graduated from Blanton, took first place several years in
the State German Culture and Pass Auf Competition and is now in the Plan II Honors program at The University of Texas at Austin.
For his Scout Eagle project last year, he organized the building of a toddler playground at the TCDC. Over 70 alumni, scouts, friends,
and neighbors helped construct that wonderful area for the children.
Faith Edson
My kids attended TCDC since 1998, starting with my daughter and then my son. I feel TCDC has provided my children with a loving, caring
environment since they began. Here are some of the reasons I really value Trinity Child Development Center.
The teachers are always attentive and concerned with my children. The children are treated with respect and are asked to treat others
the same way. They talk a lot about how to treat their classmates. They are asked to verbalize their feelings and to offer to help
their classmates if they are in need. I can tell they really work on these things from how my kids respond at home. They've matured
and changed with the help of TCDC's gentle guidance.
The staff encourages the kids to eat healthily, and they serve nutritious snacks regularly. They don't serve candy or junk food,
which is important to me. The children also are encouraged to play outside in the enclosed playground, which has been recently remodeled.
I am glad they are able to run, play and exercise frequently.
Another important point is that they do not watch TV. They are always challenged to be creative and use their minds. They do crafts,
paint, mold play dough and play at their favorite learning centers. The children are given constant exposure to books, are read to daily
by the staff and they all "read" the books to each other. As an elementary school teacher, I know this exposure to books is crucial
to their academic development.
TCDC tries to stay in touch with the families that it serves. They have several picnics yearly and a special "Sharing with Santa"
event at Christmas. We enjoy these events and look forward to meeting the parents and watching the children interact with their friends
and teachers. My children have made some very special friends at TCDC.
TCDC has small class sizes which have insured that my children have more individualized attention. The environment is warm and
not institutional like other daycares I've been to. Monthly tuition has been very reasonable compared to many other daycares. This has
been a great help since we have two children who need daycare.
My children have always been very happy to go to school at Trinity, and they never want to leave at the end of the day. It is a very
good sign when your child is so happy playing that they are not ready to leave at the end of the day. It keeps my mind at ease knowing
they are content where they are.
In conclusion, Trinity Child Development Center has given my children and me more than I can ever hope to repay. The values that TCDC
has helped instill in my children will stay with them (and me) for a lifetime. I highly recommend Trinity Child Development Center
and would happily talk about it with anyone who wants to know more.
Sincerely,
Faith Edson
Becca Lambdin-Abraham

Becca attended TCDC from 1988 to 1991. She loved singing "I was glad... to go into the house of the Lord" in Miss Heidi's
room and got into art, science, and active, physical play. She also enjoyed blowing bubbles in Michelle's 4 year old class. After Trinity,
she attended Blanton Elementary, Pearce Middle School and Martin Junior High (where she was Valedictorian in both 7th and 8th grade)
and now is attending LBJ High Science Academy in Austin. In Junior High, she participated in the orchestra, volleyball, basketball,
soccer and track. She is a first lieutenant in the LBJ band colorguard and active in church plays. She loves going back to volunteer at
the TCDC and is often found there on school vacations.
Stephen and Ruth Palmer
Over twenty years ago, our son Stephen started attending TCDC. His teacher was the dedicated and inspirational Miss Eva Siegenthaler. It was
because of her and TCDC that we eventually joined Trinity Presbyterian Church. Then Stephen and our daughter Ruth had the pleasure and
reward of knowing Miss Eva as a Sunday school teacher.
Our children are grown, but they still look back fondly at their years in TCDC and in Trinity Presbyterian Church. Stephen has graduated
from Rice University with a double major in physics and philosophy and is working for a computer company, Surebridge, in Boston. Ruth
has graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a major in comparative literature and is working as an administrative assistant at the
Metropolitan Opera in New York City.
Now another generation of children can have a positive start in preschool at TCDC under the leadership of the director, Miss Gloria,
who instructs and comforts children just like Miss Eva did.
Candice Cannon
Candice attended TCDC from 1986 to 1988. She attends Anderson High School in Austin. She is Captain of the Varsity Soccer Team and
a member of the National Honor Society. Candice's mother, Diane, recalls, "We made lifelong friends when our kids first met
and have remained friends up to this time. This child development center reflected so much of what was a really important basis for
our kids: love of God, love of each other and how to treat each other."
Hilary Smith
Hilary attended TCDC in 1981. She graduated from Johnston High School in Austin in 1995 and graduated from Bryn Mawr College in
Pennsylvania in 1999. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Duke attended TCDC in 1981 and 1983. He graduated from Hyde Park Baptist in Austin in 1997 and graduated from Texas Tech University
in 2001. He is studying to be a pilot.
