Athletics
Recreation is an essential part of a child's maturation process.
Recreation is the outlet that youths need to utilize their excess energy. It
helps them rid themselves of tension and aggressiveness, while also helping
to alleviate boredom. As part of the "Pop Warner Football League",
the Northeast Cougar Football program is designed to develop our participants
not only physically, but also psychologically. Our volunteers teach the
ideals of physical fitness, leadership and good sportsmanship in an
atmosphere that is conducive to developing a sound mind, body and character.
Our coaching staff stresses the importance of not only doing your best, but
to have a good time while striving to be the best.
Education
While recreation is the main focus of the Northeast
Cougars Football Association, education is also as important. During the
season, one night per week, the association holds tutoring sessions for all
athletes and cheerleaders. The tutoring sessions are co-sponsored by the
University Hills Library and Y.O.U.T.H.
Inc. New tutoring session
dates and times will be announced.
