River Oaks Neighborhood Association (RONA) represents the people living in
or who own property in the River Oak Lake Estates Subdivision of Austin, Travis
County, Texas, USA.
Location
River Oak Lake Estates Subdivision is in the north part of Austin, Travis
County, Texas, USA about ten miles from downtown in the zip code 78758. It
is bounded by Parmer Lane (FM 734) to the north, the
Merrill Gardens at Parmer Woods and
River Oaks Elementary School
to the west, North Lamar Boulevard (Loop 275) to the east, and
Walnut Creek Metropolitan
Park (300 acres) to the south. Wells Branch Creek runs south through the
neighborhood and empties into Little Walnut Creek in the park.

- The subdivision was platted in 1968 and houses were built the same year.
Some lots were not built on until the mid 1980s and at least one lot

single family dwellings with less than ten per cent duplex housing.
