Nancy
Meilahn is a Staff Engineer at URS in Austin, Texas. She is a graduate of
the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
Nancy was Chair of the A&WMA Longhorn Student Chapter, and has been a
Board member of the Central Texas Chapter of the Southwest Section of the
Air & Waste Management Association since 1998. She is a licensed PE in
Texas.
At URS, Ms. Meilahn specializes in the investigation and remediation of RCRA and CERCLA sites. Her experience includes environmental compliance audits, waste management plans, site assessments, remedial investigations, remedial options analyses, feasibility studies, corrective measures studies, design of surface impoundment closures, storage, and treatment facilities; and development of compliance tracking databases for industrial and military facilities.
Ms. Meilahn has two years of experience from the Superfund Section of the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission in preparing data quality objectives, sampling and analysis plans, presumptive remedies, and reviewing feasibility studies. She has also reviewed several remedial designs for State Superfund sites, and been responsible for oversight of remedial construction activities.
