The big news at the annual meeting was the donation by President and Mrs. Bush of twenty-seven, that's right, 27 boxes of books to the Friends. Around 300 or so (I lost count) were inscribed by the authors, or important dignitaries to the Bushes. Most of the books were received while they were in the governor's office. We are still trying to decide what to do with this wonderful wind fall. Some of the unsigned/un-inscribed books will be placed in the big sale. The others will probably be placed in a separate event/auction at some future date. If you have any suggestions let us know.

Karen and Cho Law donated thirty-one boxes of books to the book sale.

The law firm of Scott Douglas & McConnico, LLB donated seventeen boxes of books for the book sale.

We donated one box of children's books to the Dripping Springs library
