NEIGHORHOOD WATCH
One way you
can contribute to CMNA is by
volunteering to be a Neighborhood
Watch Block Captain.
Block
Captains are basically responsible
for relaying information to members
on their block and helping watch
what is happening in their small
area. They get to know their
neighbors and pay special attention
when their neighbors leave for
vacation and encourage neighbors to
get to know each other. They report
suspicious activity to the
Neighborhood Watch Chairman who
reports to the Police Department. Of
course if they see an obvious crime
in progress, they would call the
Police. In the event of crime close
by or in our CMNA, the Police would
inform the NW Chairman who then
tells block captains, who tell their
neighbors. This also keeps down
rumors.
The Neighborhood
Watch Committee sponsors programs
about crime and theft prevention and
the annual Neighborhood Night Out.
